Requirements

KNOWLEDGE.

Oyster product knowledge and the ability to identify types and origins is considered a HUGE asset, but we can teach you on the job if you have a passion for oysters.  A culinary degree/diploma and/or the equivalent in education and experience is an asset.

COMMUNICATION.

Excellent communication skills and customer service experience is considered an asset. A gift of the gab (a love for meeting and talking to new people) is essential!

EXPERIENCE.

Minimum one (1) year shucking experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, the experience is an asset – but we are willing to train the right candidate with culinary experience.

Responsibilities

Following recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set out by our Executive Chef.

Identifying, opening and cleaning oysters with efficiency and confidence.

Preparing daily items according to instructions.

Setting up and shutting down the oyster bed and station.

Maintaining a clean and organized shucking station.

Assisting in cleaning food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, while strictly adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.
