Requirements
8+ years industry experience with focus on Engineering design for natural gas pipeline compression projects or similar scale facilities
Knowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations (CSA, etc.)
Knowledge of applicable natural gas industry construction practices in Canada
Understands concepts of asset lifecycle management, system reliability and gas transmission operations
Proven experience with TC Energy project development, and the implementation of company specifications and design standards in major projects
Proven experience with natural gas pipeline/facility projects in British Columbia
Responsibilities
The CGL Phase 2 Integrated Delivery Team is working with LNG Canada to progress the design of the expansion scope for the Coastal Gaslink pipeline system.
The CGL Phase 2 Engineering team are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design of the five compressor station sites along the pipeline route in British Columbia, as well as modifications to the existing brownfield facilities near Dawson Creek, BC and Kitimat, BC.
The position will function within a group of high performing engineers representing the CGL project team, with a focus on ensuring the CGL Phase 2 assets are designed to the CGL defined Project Standards, relevant codes and standards, and will be safely and efficiently operable by CGL Operations upon turnover.
Lead the resolution and response to contractor inquiries (technical queries) issued through the course of FEED and detailed engineering, construction and commissioning for the CGL Phase 2 project;
Review 3rd party engineering deliverables (drawings, calculations, project specific specifications, etc.) to ensure work is executed and managed in accordance with defined Project Standards;
Plan and coordinate engagement of internal stakeholders including operations, to provide input to and review of engineering deliverables;
