Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience and training.
2-5 years of professional experience in software development, ideally in a modern web or cloud environment.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript), with the ability to work across a full‑stack codebase.
Experience building modern web applications across the stack, including front‑end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and back‑end services using frameworks such as Flask or Node.js.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar, including writing queries and working with ORMs.
Proficiency with Git and common branching, pull request, and code review workflows.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, working on both backend and frontend systems, and contributing to the overall growth and innovation of our public safety product offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while continuously improving your technical expertise.
Design, implement, test, and maintain high‑quality software solutions that align with business needs, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
Practice and contribute to Spec‑Driven Development, collaborating with product and design partners to define clear, testable specifications (e.g., APIs, contracts, acceptance criteria) before implementation, and using those specs to guide development, testing, and long‑term maintainability.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, productions issues, and technical problems.
Contribute to the design and evolution of software applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
