Requirements

Basic Life Support by American Heart Association (AHA)

RQI Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support

Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families and staff, including high volume and stressful situations.

Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

Knowledge of the full range of therapeutic modalities and their practical use and physiological basis; other therapeutic prevention and treatments such as taping, bracing, and massage; effective use of rehabilitation and exercise equipment.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Responsibilities

The Athletic Trainer assists physicians in providing care and interfacing between our community partners and our Children's Orthopedic Center sports medicine team.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

Oversee programmatic development with current and new strategic partners.

Ensures an Emergency Action Plan is up to date and discussed with the school's Athletic director, coaches and athletes.

Assists with therapeutic treatment, including but not limited to, taping, wrapping, and bracing for preventative and protective treatment.

Maintain daily records of treatment logs, injury reports and doctor's referrals.
