Responsibilities
Waste Diversion Program Coordination
Coordinate waste diversion initiatives with various sectors (industrial, commercial, and institutional), residential, etc.).
Coordinate the distribution of EWSWA merchandise for various initiatives.
Support the development, review, and implementation of waste diversion programs.
Develop and deliver educational presentations, workshops, and seminars for schools, community organizations, businesses, and special interest groups.
Promote and educate various audiences on waste reduction and diversion initiatives, as well as other activities that support the EWSWA.
Team
Reporting to the Manager of Waste Diversion, the Waste Diversion Coordinator works collaboratively with municipal partners, businesses, schools, community organizations, and residents to promote waste diversion initiatives throughout the Essex-Windsor Region. The role combines community outreach, program coordination, public presentations, data collection and review, and promotional activities to support EWSWA's strategic environmental goals.
