The salary range for this role is $128,000 - $157,000 annually. This range is a good-faith estimate, and the final salary offered to a selected candidate depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, and other qualifications; internal and external market pay for comparable jobs; and level of hire based on aforementioned qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Research Fellow develops and advances in-depth policy analysis and ground-breaking scholarly research by publishing research papers, op-eds, and books regarding, but not limited to, financial regulations, macroeconomic analysis, real estate markets and financial markets. This includes issues relevant to government intervention in capital and financial markets through the regulatory apparatuses of the Federal Reserve, FDIC, SEC, OCC, CFTC, FHFA, and other institutions. The Research Fellow must possess a strong quantitative background and understanding of credit markets. This position assists in maintaining a high-profile and national reputation for The Heritage Foundation in the fields of macroeconomics and financial economics, and advances Heritage priorities by testifying before Congress, conducting media interviews, developing strategic relationships to advance policy, and participating in major public functions and professional conferences related to economic policy and financial markets.

Conduct novel policy analysis and produce scholarly empirical research.

Develop innovative policy solutions.

Advise management on programs that advance Heritage’s leadership role in financial regulations and capital markets.

Collaborate with overlapping policy teams within the division and throughout Heritage.
