Securities Finance Trader

1-5 years of experience in a technical or trading role, ideally with some exposure to securities lending, short selling or related experience.

Proficient in Python and SQL.

Familiarity with core financial instruments (equities, fixed income, ETFs) and general market mechanics.

High initiative and eagerness to learn about securities lending, product development, and advanced trading concepts.

Assess and manage counterparty, credit, and market risk while staying informed of market developments and regulatory changes.

Work with existing and new securities lending vendors on product development solutions.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to optimize data pipelines, trading systems, operational efficiency and risk controls.

Monitor outstanding loans, recalls, and rates to optimize risk and profitability.

Build relationships with borrowers, lenders, custodians, and firm client partners.

Develop and perform operational tasks, product improvements, and automation tools for optimizing costs, revenue and workflow.
