Requirements

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance in a role of similar level of responsibilities

Familiarity with NetSuite or other enterprise-scale cloud-based ERP systems is an asset

Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS (or US GAAP) with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards

Experience in full cycle accounting in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription billing environment is an asset

Proven history of excellence and timeliness in external and internal financial reporting

Comfort working with large data sets, including the ability to validate, reconcile, and analyze data efficiently

Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting will support the Manager, Financial Reporting in completing full cycle accounting and meeting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.

In this role, you will be also responsible for identifying key issues and priorities and directly assisting the Manager, Financial Reporting and senior management in making solid financial decisions based on sound business metrics and professional judgment.

You will review work prepared by other members of the Financial Reporting team, prepare more senior and technical complex analyses and tasks, research accounting issues, and take a hands-on role in year-end audits, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and other ad hoc financial analyses.

Manage the successful completion of financial month end close.

Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end milestones, working cross-functionally with the Financial Reporting, Tax, AP, Billing, and Payroll teams

Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages for key stakeholders
