Development Officer

Minimum of 3 years of experience in individual giving or comparable consultative sales

Demonstrated success managing donor portfolios and closing gifts

Reporting to the Head of Development, the Development Officer is a key member of the Advancement team responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of primarily individual donors with mid-level to major gift capacity ($15,000–$250,000).

This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to increase philanthropic revenue in support of Success Academy Charter Schools’ operational, programmatic, and capital priorities.

Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of individual donors through strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship

Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual fundraising goals and performance metrics

Conduct donor outreach through in-person and virtual meetings, calls, proposals, events, and tailored communications

Identify, qualify, and upgrade prospective donors using Raiser’s Edge NXT and prospect research tools
