Requirements
Education & Experience Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
3 years of coaching/teaching experience preferred, or equivalent experience as an advanced rider with instructional capabilities
PMBIA Level 1 certification, or equivalent, preferred, or willingness to obtain within the first season
Current CPR & First Aid certification preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)

Responsibilities
The Bike School Coach will teach downhill and cross-country mountain biking skills to individuals and groups of all ability levels, including children. Coaches create a fun, safe, and engaging environment that fosters skill development and confidence in riders. This position reports to the Bike School Supervisor.
Applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with fellow coaches to organize groups and match students based on individual goals and abilities
Teach and demonstrate mountain biking techniques in a safe environment using a variety of instructional methods
Coach a range of lessons, including youth camps, beginner clinics, advanced skills sessions, and private lessons
