Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
1-2 years’ experience in business-to-business sales, business development, employment staffing, career services, or another related field.
Demonstrated strengths in results-driven performance, interpersonal communication, relationship building, and effective time management.
Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
Familiarity with CRM systems.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Advisor is a key member of the Career Services team, focused on driving positive career outcomes for graduates while supporting the institution’s strategic goals. This role is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with employers, community organizations, and industry leaders to expand career opportunities for UMA graduates. Through strategic outreach, partnership development, and close collaboration with internal teams, the advisor ensures alignment between employer needs and student capabilities.
Territory Management and Employer Relationship Development
: Oversee an assigned geographic area with autonomy. Focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with employers in the allied healthcare sector. Use market insights and CRM data to identify high-potential employer partnerships and create meaningful employment opportunities for graduates.
Prospective Employer Outreach
: Proactively engage potential employer partners through cold calling and effectively utilize the internal lead management system to expand the employer network. Engage in meaningful dialogue with to understand their evolving workforce needs, challenges, and hiring priorities.
