Administrative Assistant II

Two (2) years related administrative support experience

Experience working with pediatrics is an asset

Experience working with EPIC EMR for managing referrals, appointment scheduling, and standard clinical operations is required

Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset

Ability to maintain and protect patient confidentiality

Pediatric Aftercare Program

This administrative assistant II role will support the team and patients/families in the Pediatric Aftercare Program.

The patient population includes those who had pediatric cancers who are now adults and at risk for late effects from their disease and treatments.

The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to perform administrative tasks such as schedule patients, support patients in an outpatient setting, and answer patient/family questions about the program.

Providing positive patient experiences in an outpatient clinical setting, meeting quality standards set out by UHN including registering patients, as needed, in UHN’s EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system, Epic
