Senior Accountant

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience

CPA a plus

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Experience with government contract accounting, FAR accounting standards, and DCAA compliance is a plus

Previous Aerospace and Defense experience a plus

Analytical and with exceptional problem-solving skills, high degree of ownership, and a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Base Salary:

$95,000-$125,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education and experience.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis

Support with implementing accounting policies and best practices

Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the close process, implementing new procedures to improve efficiency and reduce the close cycle time

Implement and ensure cost accounting processes and controls at the Long Beach facility

Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets at within the Long Beach facility

Support the preparation of Financial Statements
