Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Identifies, evaluates, and implements new suppliers to generate cost savings and improve supply resilience.

Leads or supports supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Assists the VP of Supply Chain with ad-hoc and formalized sourcing, cost-reduction, and supply chain improvement projects.

Collaborates with Purchasing Managers to analyze raw materials and finished goods in support of inventory optimization, improved turns, and cash flow management.

Maintains knowledge of all applicable contracts, major site service agreements, systems contracts, and major leases.

Develops and executes strategic sourcing initiatives and category plans aligned with company objectives.

Leads sourcing activities for raw materials and external suppliers in support of the New

Product Development (NPD) process, partnering with Engineering and Sales.

Manages assigned sourcing projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of materials and supplier deliverables.

Negotiates with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery, specifications, lead times, and minimum order quantities to improve overall value.

Builds, maintains, and strengthens long-term relationships with key suppliers.
