Responsibilities
The primary roles of the Automation & Controls Technician is to provide automation and controls troubleshooting/repair support of operations along with helping to drive modernization upgrades at The Coca-Cola CPS Atlanta, GA manufacturing plant.
The Automation & Controls Technician must work alongside Plant Maintenance Techs to identify, troubleshoot and repair problems in all areas of electrical, automation, shop floor networks, process control, and instrumentation that occur in the facility. The Automation and Controls technician must be able to troubleshoot, pinpoint problems, and remediate all problems.
Understands how to read and translate the information found within all: PLC code, Schematic wiring, Ladder and P&ID process diagrams.
Helping in supporting any preventive maintenance/calibration of plant controls systems and instrumentation as needed.
Advanced skills with PLC, HMI, VFD’s, Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation and industrial control systems, including programming techniques and configurations.
Strong electrical background with hands on troubleshooting of circuits using multi-meter or similar tools.
