Temporary RECE/DA Before & After School Educator

Early Childhood Education Diploma (ECE) and member in good standing with the College of ECEs OR educational requirements to obtain Director’s Approval for working alone with children

Related experience in a childcare setting

Demonstrated knowledge and working ability to effectively interact with children requiring behavioural guidance

Demonstrated knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?

Experience in program planning and implementation for JK/SK and school-aged children

Standard First Aid with CPR Level C

As a Before and After School Educator, your primary responsibility is to be present for children and their families while developing and implementing programs that meet their developmental needs and interests.

You will create meaningful play experiences, provide healthy snacks, supervise outdoor and indoor activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care.

Greet children and families with warmth and professionalism

Support children as they transition from home to program, including self-regulation and social engagement

Engage children in meaningful activities using a programming cart of materials

Provide morning snacks, ensuring children wash hands and eat safely
