Mechanic III, Farming Shop

Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment, heavy equipment, trucks, or similar machinery.

Industry certifications (such as ASE, OEM certifications, or equivalent technical credentials) preferred.

Must have basic fabrication and stick welding skills necessary for standard repair work and simple component modifications.

Strong equipment/process troubleshooting skills.

Must have experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of gasoline and diesel engines.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related problems.

Primarily working on the road this role is expected to maintain, repair and overhaul farm equipment and vehicles such as, tractors, trucks, forklifts, brush shredders, spray equipment, and other mechanically, electrically or motor driven equipment on farms and in farm shops.

Examine equipment for defects and dismantle defective equipment using hand tools.

Repairs or replaces defective units using hand and power tools.

Maintains shop and equipment in good safe efficient conditions, with special care to critical equipment.

Ensures that all farm machinery is serviced and maintained on a routine schedule and kept in good operational order.

Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs as needed, all equipment and rolling stock on a regular basis, as required by management.
