Requirements
Fundamental experience developing software in Python or other programming languages.
Fundamental knowledge of Information Technology and development tools including networking, databases, containers, git, CI/CD, logging, PKI, OAuth, or Active Directory.
Sufficient technical experience with operating systems, virtual environments, and/or related hardware in a moderately complex server environment.
Broad technical experience with Linux or Windows operating systems, networks, and/or related hardware.
Ability to plan, design, and evaluate moderately complex cybersecurity solutions with a focus on information assurance.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS/Azure and experience with programming or scripting languages such as C, C#, Python, Java, PowerShell, or PHP.

Position Information
This is a Flexible Term appointment, which is for a definite period not to exceed six years. If final candidate is a Career Indefinite employee, Career Indefinite status may be maintained (should funding allow).

Responsibilities
to independently and collaboratively perform a wide range of activities associated with supporting the Cyber Security Program on the Assurance Engineering Team.
Provide computer science and software development support using industry standard software development practices leveraging modern programming languages such as Python within Linux, UNIX, and/or Windows environments.
Develop scripting and automation to provide solutions to common problems and reduce operational overhead.
Develop methods, tools, and procedures to improve incident response capabilities or vulnerability management processes and automate various complex tasks.
Manage moderately complex to complex technical parallel tasks and priorities of customers and stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met, while leveraging team member skills.
Develop methods, tools, and procedures to enhance information assurance capabilities, including vulnerability management, risk mitigation, security control validation, and automated workflow support.
