An employee in this class announces the opening of court and performs various duties which facilitate the courtroom proceedings.  The individual selected for this position may be assigned to either the Juvenile Branch or Domestic Relations Branch of Family Court, and may be reassigned to either Branch, as business needs might require.

Prepares the courtroom prior to the beginning of proceedings.

Swears in witnesses.

Checks bags and packages of persons entering courtroom.

Assures the integrity of the proceedings.

Assures that all parties required for the proper conduct of the trial are present.
