Community Group Support Coordinator (6-month Contract)

Previous experience working with not-for-profit groups and / or volunteer work on a community board or organization

Some previous experience with public engagement facilitation or consultation process is an asset

Term Length:

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with an immediate start.

Work Schedule:

This position works 35 hours a week. 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Working occassionally on weekends may be required, with prior notice.

Hourly Pay:

$39.40 to $46.35 per hour.

This position plays a vital role in supporting not‑for‑profit organizations that help deliver recreational and cultural services across the County.

The Community Group Support Coordinator serves as the primary contact for not-for-profit and volunteer community groups that operate within the County of Grande Prairie.

The focus is on community groups that provide services for activities that fall within the County’s Recreation and Culture policies, endeavors, and grant programs.

The Coordinator provides administrative support, facilitates governance and grant related assistance and helps build capacity within community organizations.

The role also liaises with internal departments such as the Health, Safety and Risk Management advisors and the Facilities department to ensure safe and sustainable operations in community facilities.
