Responsibilities

As part of the

Interim Housing team

, the

Safety Support Associate

proactively works to ensure the Interim Housing site is a safe environment for all staff, program participants, and visitors. This includes monitoring the site’s facilities and grounds for any concerns, building rapport with participants to engage them in maintaining safety at the site, and providing assistance and support when crisis situations arise. This position follows the established low-barrier guidelines to create a safe and stable environment for program participants, providing direct client services, including harm reduction support, and ensuring access to needed supplies. The Safety Support Associate may also assist with other duties at the Interim Housing site, including meal distribution, cleaning, and other general facility needs as they arise.
