Assistant Cook - Hamilton Convention Centre

Experience with banquet, catering or high volume kitchen environments

Excellent knife skills and deep knowledge of cooking techniques

Confidence supervising and mentoring kitchen team members

Safe Food Handler's Certificate (Required)

Culinary Trade Certification or Read Seal (an asset)

As an Assistant Cook, you will play a key role in bringing large scale, high energy events to life.

Support the culinary team in preparing and executing food service for banquets, galas, concerts, conventions, and special events

Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment

Assist with food preparation, plating, and service while following established recipes and standards

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment

Ensure food is prepared accurately and on time, with attention to quality, presentation, and waste reduction
