Requirements

You have two to three years of experience in administrative support or a similar role, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.

You have knowledge of transportation or logistics software, an asset.

You have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Transportation, the incumbent plays an essential role by supporting the team with the administrative functions of the transportation department.

What you'll be responsible for:

You provide daily administrative support to the transportation department, including training, toolboxes, Maximo, PPE, lockers, uniforms, ordering, and driver’s licenses.

You compile data and produce various administrative reports.

You work closely with key stakeholders, including dispatchers, site managers, and drivers.

You prepare and follow up on expense claims.

The Administrative Assistant, Transportation provides administrative support to transportation operations by ensuring document coordination, schedule tracking, and communication with drivers and internal teams in order to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
