Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Experience: 10+ years in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel; experience with barcoding, RFID, or automated inventory systems a plus.
· Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory turnover to make data-driven decisions.
· Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
· Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, minimizes waste, and supports uninterrupted production while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
· Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods using ERP/MRP systems.
· Cycle Counting & Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and perform physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
· Reporting: Co-create (with finance) effective inventory performance scorecards for internal manufacturing and at 3rd party contract manufacturers.
· Inbound/Outbound Logistics: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
