Requirements

5+ years of experience in an electrical steel products sales role is required

Extensive experience with and strong knowledge of electrical steel materials, motor and generator material specifications, and metallic materials

Ability to provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding material selection, product performance, and application-specific requirements.

Experience in material testing, characterization, and failure analysis, including interpretation of mechanical properties and material performance data.

Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions in automotive power train, micro-mobility and unique high frequency motor applications.

Compensation & Benefits

Eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or salary increases in accordance with company policy. Eligible for RRSP, Pension Plan, Dental Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance and Care allowance.

$150,000 CAD / year

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Manager will identify and develop strategic business relationships with potential clients as well as improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth and achieve the annual sales target.

Target market segments for this position are automotive EV/HEV powertrain, aerospace motors, and micro-mobility applications for thin gauge non-oriented electrical steels (NOES) and motor cores.

The primary objective of this role is to identify and develop strategic business relationships with potential clients as well as improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth and achieve the annual sales target.

Target market segments for this position are automotive EV/HEV powertrain, aerospace motors, and micro-mobility applications for thin gauge non-oriented electrical steels (NOES) and motor cores.

Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients

Identify new markets and regions where significant growth can be achieved in automotive, micro-mobility and renewable energy applications
