Requirements

Previous experience (1–3 years) in audiovisual installation is an asset; related experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction environments will also be considered.

Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Crestron, QSC, Extron, BiAmp) or CTS credentials are considered an asset.

Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, or a related field is an advantage.

Knowledge of safe and proper use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation and servicing of cabling infrastructure and audiovisual devices, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, labelling, and reporting in accordance with specifications and drawings.

Support the installation of audiovisual systems, including video conferencing, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, public address/announcement systems, and other presentation technologies.

Interact with customers and team members in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring inquiries are addressed appropriately.

Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and timely incident reporting.

Accurately complete required documentation, including service reports, test results, and equipment records.

Build technical skills by shadowing experienced technicians, participating in training sessions, and learning manufacturer standards and best practices.
