5+ years of proven professional experience in structuring, analyzing, and developing a multimodal transportation network solution, preferably at a North American Automotive OEM is a must.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered.

Experience working with 3PLs, 4PLs, and dedicated/asset-based transportation and warehouse service providers as well as knowledge of U.S. DOT regulations and transportation industry is required.

Practical experience leading logistics RFx activities e.g., RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, for LTL, FTL, expedited, and small-parcel transportation as well as warehousing, and crossdocking services is a must.

Professional experience with IT systems for truck transport routing and scheduling as well as inventory management and reporting, preferably SAP transportation management is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Inbound Logistics Planning and Optimization:

Develop logistics concepts for inbound materials from our suppliers worldwide. Optimize existing concepts to enhance our efficiency and sustainability. Follow up on the implementation of measures and asses their effectiveness.

Transportation Contract Management:

Prepare, conduct, and implement logistics RFx activities. That includes writing and aligning the necessary documents like RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and SOWs. Clear and effective communication and collaboration with internal departments as well as involved 3PLs or 4PLs.
