Requirements
Ability to lead MS based projects with minimal oversight. Proficient in basic statistical methods and design of MSI / LC-MS experiments and techniques. 3+ years of relevant experience in a research or laboratory environment including:
Working knowledge of MSI / LC/MS instrumentation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
(Experience with AB Sciex/Agilent Systems Preferred). Hands-on experience with sample preparation and extraction of small molecules from various biological matrices. Knowledge of various extraction protocols (protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, solid phase extraction, etc.). Hands-on experience with different chromatographic separation and mass spectrometry methodologies for analysis of biomarkers, or small molecules.
Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology or another relevant field required
