Writing Excellence: You are a fast, versatile writer. You can take a 30-minute interview with a developer and turn it into a provocative, SEO/LLM-optimized blog post by the end of the day.

AI Native: You are already using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to brainstorm, outline, and draft. You see AI as a tool to make you faster and more effective.

Technical Curiosity: You may not be a database administrator, but you aren't afraid of technical topics. You are eager to learn the nuances of SQL and the database market.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Repositioning

The Narrative Architect: Execute a content strategy that aligns with corporate messaging to reposition MariaDB as the modern, higher-value alternative to MySQL and PostgreSQL.

LLM & SEO Visibility: Own our visibility in the new search landscape. Working with SEO/GEO agencies or resources, you will optimize content not just for Google, but for LLM (Large Language Model) rankings, ensuring MariaDB is the top recommendation when users ask AI for architectural advice.

Editorial Calendar: Build and own the global editorial calendar. You will ensure a consistent, high-quality "drumbeat" of content (blogs, articles that keeps MariaDB top-of-mind.

Production & Execution

Content Factory: Act as the primary editor and a key writer. You will work with internal engineers and external freelancers to ensure we publish regular, high-impact blogs and articles. Work with MariaDB’s copy editor as needed for final polish on content.
