Requirements
Experience developing financial models and performing asset valuations, transaction analyses or investment evaluations.
Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry.
Experience evaluating joint ventures, partnerships or complex transaction structures.
Advanced knowledge with financial reporting, accounting, taxation, commodity pricing or capital markets concepts applicable to upstream oil and gas investments.
International oil and gas experience, including the evaluation of assets, transactions or investment opportunities outside the United States.
Experience with Microsoft Access, ARIES, business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Spotfire, GIS or statistical programming tools such as SAS, SPSS, Stata or R.
Responsibilities
Continental’s Business Development Group works on highly visible strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, capital investment programs and divestitures.
This individual will integrate technical, operational and financial information to develop investment analyses, assess transaction economics and provide recommendations to executive management.
Performs and leads financial and economic evaluations of acquisition, divestiture, joint venture and other strategic opportunities.
Serves as a financial and commercial representative on multidisciplinary transaction teams.
Develops, reviews and maintains detailed valuation models, cash flow forecasts, investment returns and transaction scenarios.
Integrates engineering, operational, commercial, accounting and market assumptions into comprehensive financial analyses.
