Responsibilities
TYLin’s Rail + Transit team is expanding in New York City, and we’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about mechanical design for transit infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a licensed PE with 5 - 10 years of experience who wants to design innovative HVAC and tunnel ventilation systems for some of the region’s most complex transit projects, including MTA and Amtrak facilities.
Lead the mechanical design of transit stations, tunnels, and maintenance facilities, focusing on HVAC, tunnel ventilation, and related systems.
Develop contract drawings, specifications, and technical reports for project deliverables.
Perform engineering calculations and system modeling to optimize performance, efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Ensure designs comply with NFPA, ASHRAE, NYC building codes, and other relevant standards.
