A Deputy City Marshal I job is available with the City of Fort Worth Municipal Court Marshal’s Division. The Deputy City Marshal I is a law enforcement officer position commissioned by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). The primary responsibility of the Marshal’s Division is to bring wanted parties before the Court, but it is also tasked with providing bailiffs to the Court and patrolling Lake Worth. The Marshals Division is made up of four sections:
Building Security –
Responsibilities
Operates security screening check points; searches and inspects persons and their property entering secure facilities for prohibited weapons, explosives, and other contraband
Transports prisoners to and from surrounding jurisdictions; ensures proper restraint of prisoners during transportation
Detains, questions, and investigates persons suspected of violating court orders
Completes and maintains accurate reports, inventories, and documents
