Requirements
Demonstrated commitment to safety, with working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and Mines Regulations.
3+ years’ experience in a planning or coordination role within the mining industry.
Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma or Journeyperson (Red Seal) certification in a related trade or equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth knowledge of mine shaft systems and equipment, and associated maintenance practices is considered and asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS platforms, including SAP/S4HANA.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and demonstrate leadership when required.

Responsibilities
The Shaft & Hoists Maintenance Planner is a key technical resource responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of shaft infrastructure, hoisting systems, ore delivery, operating supply movements and ventilation systems that support underground mining operations. This role provides strategic planning, coordination, and technical oversight for a multidisciplinary maintenance team to support safe, efficient, and reliable mine operations.
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Shaft Maintenance Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance, repair, and operational activities associated with shaft facilities.
The Shaft Maintenance Planner will ensure all work is planned and scheduled to be executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while supporting the safe and reliable operation of underground mining infrastructure.
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans for shaft infrastructure, hoisting systems, mine ventilation systems, and dewatering systems.
