Requirements
Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred
Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications
Experience with HVAC systems strongly preferred
Working towards Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, Assemble)
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables.
Mechanical Interns focus on the design and engineering of HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing, fire protection, and other building support systems into the built work environment.
Typical tasks and deliverables include load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, design reports, code evaluations, plans, schedules, installation details, specification and coordination with manufacturers and trade partners.
Tasks will include utilizing computer aided drafting and engineering software.
Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
