Requirements

Requirements:

MUST have active, current registration with the CA BBS.

A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health setting is preferred.

Must have familiarity with severely and chronically mentally ill adults in a community setting.

Experience with justice-involved individuals is preferred.

Must have or obtain LPS Designation upon hire.

Compensation & Benefits

Status: Full time/Exempt

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) Program Manager and Lead Clinical Supervisor, the Mental Health Lead provides clinical supervision to case managers and other unlicensed staff. The Mental Health Lead ensures sound clinical direction, management, and coordination of mental health, rehabilitation, case management, community outreach and medication support services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Provide individual and group clinical support to case managers and other unlicensed staff in adherence with the BBS.

Assist with developing and implementing clinical training for ODR program.

Since 1976, St. Joseph Center has been meeting the needs of low-income and homeless individuals and families in Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, and surrounding communities.  The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that assists people without regard for religious affiliation or lack thereof through comprehensive case management and integrated social service programs.  The Center enjoys broad-based community support as well as a sponsored relationship with its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.  St. Joseph Center serves approximately 6,000 individuals annually.

Brief Description of Principal Activities

Multifaceted intervention, prevention, and education services are carried out at four sites on the Westside of Los Angeles.  St. Joseph Center’s integrated programs provide clients with concentrated and coordinated access to services according to the nature of their needs.
