Building Envelope Inspector

Minimum of 1-3 years working with building envelope design, inspection, development and/or  engineering

Knowledge of broad architectural design theories/concepts and specific structural theories/concepts related to exterior wall construction

Experience using measurement devices

This position will report to a Principal or designee level staff member within our Building Envelope division and will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:

Understand exterior wall construction project phases including but not limited to shop drawing, modeling, design development and construction documents

Conduct field reviews and perform progress inspections on designated projects, which may include inspections conducted from the exterior of buildings utilizing suspended scaffolds, ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other elevated access equipment, as required.

Ensure familiarity with building codes in local markets

Inspectors are expected to remain reasonably accessible via phone, email, or text outside of regular business hours to respond to urgent job site requests, including but not limited to emergency site visits, active leak investigations, weather-related events, or other time-sensitive conditions that may require immediate attention.

Providing cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completed
