Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. (required)

Demonstrated expertise in powertrain fundamentals, with hands-on experience in engine dynamometer development, validation, and calibration testing—including test specifications and setups. (required)

4+ years of experience as a development and/or validation engineer supporting engine projects from initial development through to production. (required)

Experienced in using industry-standard vehicle and dynamometer data acquisition and analysis tools such as INCA and Vector, along with hands-on expertise in engine instrumentation—including strain gauges and thermocouples—for both vehicle and test cell applications. (required)

Demonstrated ability to influence technical peers without direct authority. (required)

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $110,000.00 - $135,000.00

Responsibilities

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Support the development and integration of the Harvester gasoline engine underpinning the Scout Traveler SUV and Terra pickup.

Lead the overall hardware DVP for the engine and engine hardware, including prototype through production sample planning for each development phase.

Develop and execute test plans together with internal group partners, suppliers, and vehicle testing team to demonstrate that vehicle performance targets can be met.

Ensure that required development tools and equipment are available on-time to support internal testing.

Author test procedures and publish as Scout engineering standard.
