Requirements

Must obtain national licensing in compliance with The New York State Banking Law and Regulations and

the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act).  The request for licensing will be reviewed following successful completion of a background check, 20 hours of pre-licensing education, and a passing score on the national licensing exam.

Final licensing determination will be made by the appropriate regulatory entity

Maintain compliance with all that is required to be a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator.  This includes all applicable background and credit checks as well as passage of all national and state-specific exams

Responsibilities

Promote Mortgage Services’ real estate loan products through direct contact with members, future members, real estate brokers, builders, and others.

Originate loan applications from internal and external sources.

Meet the Credit Union's and Mortgage Services’ standards for consistent quality customer service

Actively participate in area community lending activities by attending meetings

and seminars and by soliciting applications for loan programs designed for those members

Monitor activity through the pipeline process and respond to requests for information and applications in a timely manner
