Requirements
Five years of underwriting experience with mortality and morbidity based products.
Two years of directly related auditing experience.
Thorough knowledge of underwriting practices and industry standards, including related Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
Attention to detail and analytical skills to perform audit duties and interpret data.
Underwriting audit and/or contestable claims experience.
Knowledge of Life & Protection products and distribution systems.

Responsibilities
Perform internal underwriting audits to ensure staff compliance with company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley and standard industry practices.
Review and make recommendations on contestable claims.
Perform audits of underwriting work.
Trend and review mortality and morbidity experience specific to L&P insurance markets.
Serve as an L&P liaison for the Medical Information Bureau (MIB) and perform the annual the MIB self-audit for all distribution groups.
Review and report on contestable claims and serve as a consultant to the Claims Department.
