Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Sr.
Mill Manager, the Mill Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading all surface maintenance activities and ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site assets.
The Superintendent serves as the site leader for maintenance strategy, workflow optimization, planning, scheduling, and equipment reliability.
Accountable for the maintenance of all mechanical and electrical assets, this position oversees the development, implementation, and control of maintenance programs and procedures, including preventive and predictive maintenance, inspection and lubrication programs, budgeting and cost control, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety.
The role is also responsible for the selection, management, and oversight of external contractors to ensure the safe and timely execution of maintenance work and small capital projects.
In addition, the Mill Maintenance Superintendent plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across both maintenance and production operations.
