Accounting Analyst - Data & Process Improvement

Design and build scalable data and reporting solutions using tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, Sigma and modern ETL applications to solve Accounting team challenges.

Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude Code and Claude Cowork) to accelerate development, automate workflows, and enhance data analysis and documentation.

Develop, maintain, and enhance executive-level dashboards and reporting in Tableau and Sigma that drive decision-making across Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional partners.

Design and manage underlying data structures, including tables, views, and schemas.

Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to support reporting and analytics.

Build and optimize data pipelines by integrating data from multiple systems (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, APIs), ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.

We are looking for a driven, experienced Business and Data Analyst, with a specialization in data visualization to join our Accounting Data & Analytics Team. We support Carvana’s Accounting Department to help them benefit from data analysis, data visualization, streamlined data processing, enhanced reporting solutions, and process automation.

An ideal candidate will be able to support our accounting team by developing a deep understanding of the data leveraged by our department, working with stakeholders to understand and document their current processes and reporting needs, and then utilizing their technical skills to build out and implement automated solutions to produce meaningful reporting for the accounting team.
