Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital is seeking a Hospitalist to provide Locum coverage during a period of active recruitment.

Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

About the Company

Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital (FMH) is a 55-bed acute care community hospital serving Lunenburg and the surrounding areas. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, long-term care, and community-based care. It features 30 inpatient beds, plus a 23-bed Veteran’s Unit, and is well-equipped with diagnostic and treatment services.

FMH fosters strong connections between primary care providers, specialists, and allied health professionals through its outpatient and specialty ambulatory clinics. Additionally, it offers opportunities for teaching and mentorship as a preceptor for Dalhousie University medical students and residents. Physicians at FMH provide care for up to six inpatients across various units, including restorative care rehab, alternate level of care, medical, and Veteran’s long-term care.
