Requirements

Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience working with older adults and/or seniors with mental health, addictions issues, and street involvement.

Knowledge of geriatric and aging issues.

Knowledge of harm reduction approach.

Knowledge of mental health act.

Might work in environments where clients use substances.

Might work in environments wherein clients have incontinence issues.

Compensation & Benefits

Internal B8 - $53,745.67

Responsibilities

Provides reception services to staff and residents living in supportive housing program

Monitors activities in the common areas and the outside perimeter of the building through the security cameras/visual inspections and responds appropriately.

Implements crisis response strategies, including de-escalation, support, debriefing, etc.

Provides after hours supportive counselling to residents when required.

Re-directs any visitors and responds to issues appropriately.

Understands how to operate, trouble shoot and contact the 24-hour response team for the emergency response system as necessary.
