Engineering Manager, New Verticals - City Fulfillment Network

BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field

3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend, web, & mobile) of 8+ engineers

8+ years of industry experience

Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment

Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization

Hands-on leadership, strong product intuition, and deep care for the customer

DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the City Fulfillment Network engineering team. This team is responsible for making DoorDash even more reliable when it comes to fulfilling all the items that customers order. If it’s available in your city, we’ll find it and deliver it to you.

As an Engineering Manager, you will partner closely with world class engineers, designers, product managers and operators for developing and developing highly visible features used by millions of users worldwide.

Grow a full-stack team of world class backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions

Engage in groundbreaking projects from inception that will substantially enhance the growth of our New Verticals business - Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol & Retail

Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Operators to develop the team's roadmap and oversee its successful execution

The New Verticals group is a collection of Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, and Operators defining and building on our vision of connecting customers to the best of their cities all across the world – whether that's a new neighborhood restaurant, a trusted nearby grocery store, or a local retailer.
