Personal Support Worker Certificate and NACC Certificate (if applicable).

Minimum one (1) year experience Providing personal care to seniors and people living with disabilities

Comprehensive understanding of how to support clients in meeting their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (iADLs).

Strong communication skills, encompassing verbal, written, listening, and reporting abilities, to ensure clear and effective interactions with clients and team members.

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team, fostering a supportive and cooperative environment.

Responsibilities

Recognizes that she/he is assigned to work based on program needs, client preferences and PSW skill set as required.

Recognizes that services are client-focused and delivered in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.

Complies with all agency, unit and program policies and procedures as required and as communicated e.g., during orientation, at training, memos, meetings/minutes, voice mail hot line, reference manuals. This also applies to policies and procedures at other sites where the PSW must work closely with other partner agency staff.

Provides service to clients relevant to the program and as authorized by the Supervisor and within the scope of practice as permitted by his/her certificate of training (e.g., PSW) and all WoodGreen/Unit and Program policies and procedures.

Complies with all health and safety policies and procedures
