Adult Family Therapist

Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist (required)

Hold one of the following licenses: PhD, PsyD, LICSW, or LPCC (preferred)

1+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred)

Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies, ideally in the context of delivering family therapy

Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

Facilitating family sessions to a caseload of assigned adult patients and their loved ones

Providing guidance and support to patients and family members to help promote goals and encourage patients progress through the program.

Providing direction to families about effective ways of supporting patients. Discussion topics and family therapy goals include safety plans, incorporating skill implementation, improving communication, creating contracts.

Providing loved ones with psychoeducation about substance use and various other Axis 1 and 2 disorder symptoms

Provides couples’ therapy for patients and their partners

Works with various presenting issues including depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance abuse, PTSD, Axis 2 Disorder, Bipolar, etc.
