Responsibilities
The Head of Research will serve as the senior cataloguer and research specialist for the Old Master Paintings department in New York.
They will manage the research workflow and produce cataloguing at the highest level for all Old Master Paintings sales, both at auction and private sale.
They will work closely with our network of colleagues in Europe and cultivate their role as a full and active member of the global Old Masters departments.
Supporting the department through research, photography and condition reporting in accordance with scheduled Old Master Painting deadlines;
Providing guidance and support to junior specialists in their research, appraisals and business-getting endeavors;
Working with the department on catalogue productions, including proof-reading, design, and layout;
