Claims Manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree required.

7–9 years of experience, including management responsibilities

Experience in claims administration, with significant experience in multi-state workers’ compensation, automobile liability, and general liability claims, and knowledge in marine claims preferred

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Able to interface with all levels of management

What you will be doing:

Workers’ Compensation:

Supervising, administering, investigating, and controlling all facets of workers’ compensation claims in the self-administered states. Monitoring, controlling, and directing outside third-party administrators or insurance companies, in the handling of workers’ compensation claims in all other states.

Developing and determining all required case management and litigation strategies on applicable workers’ compensation claims.  Directing all outside attorneys relative to workers’ compensation claims or others involved with Claims Manager responsibility.

Approving all workers’ compensation medical, legal, rehabilitation, etc. invoices related to self-administer states.

Developing and/or evaluating settlement values and negotiation strategy on all workers’ compensation claims.
