Requirements
Bachelors or Masters Degree in related engineering field.
7+ years experience in reliability engineering or related work, with preference on electromechanical hardware systems produced at high volume.
Strong background in reliability science, typical hardware failure modes, data analytics for reliability, Weibull statistics etc. Database mining / manipulation skills are a plus.
Hands on in the lab, comfortable/capable with wide range of electrical and mechanical test equipment.
Strong communication and leadership skills are critical.
Experience with formal product development and release to manufacturing over the full product lifecycle

Responsibilities
This is an opportunity for a Senior Reliability Engineer and leader to play a crucial role in both the development of Aperia’s next generation products and the maturation of our existing products to perform at even larger scale. You will work in a high-communication environment as part of a team of empowered engineers who have passion for the products they work on and care about their end users. Since we are still a small organization, your contributions will have a big impact on the product, our company, and our customers. This is an onsite position.
Lead the discipline of reliability engineering at Aperia, architecting test plans for new products and product changes and advising others, and signing off on change orders.
Oversee the development of the reliability engineering test lab, direct test technicians, manage the lab’s day to day activities and produce test reports.
Play a leading role in failure analysis of electronics and electromechanical systems both from laboratory tests and field returns.
Fit and model failure data, mining field data in the cloud and lab test data.
Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA activity.
