Medical Billing Associate

At least one year of experience handling SNF, AL, IL and MC claims across various specialties.

Understanding of the ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes and E/M coding guidelines.

Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and 3

Thrives in dynamic environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Works effectively with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external partners.

High ethical standards with a focus on integrity, accountability, and transparency.

This role is responsible for creating and submitting claim batches, verifying insurance coverage, and obtaining necessary authorizations prior to admission.

The Medical Billing Associate reviews coding for accuracy, posts charges and payments, resolves claim rejections, and processes refunds or adjustments.

Create and submit claims batches within MyUnity

Monitor changes in Medicare regulations and adjust billing practices accordingly.

Post charges and payments to correct accounts

Submit electronic claims (EDI) and resolve clearinghouse rejections
